What's missing in the gay marriage debate?

The CofE has announced a consultation exercise on the live issue of gay marriage, which I suppose is a step forward. This may be simply the kind of consultation much favoured by recent governments, where the appearance of openness and listening is simply a pause for breath before absolutely nothing changes and we return to business as usual. But perhaps I'm a little cynical, and should wait for the report.
Which coalition would you vote for?
I have no idea who to vote for any more. The difference between the three main parties is, to paraphrase some American wag, like the difference between Coke, Pepsi and Virgin cola. All are neo-liberal now to a greater or lesser extent, believing that choices of public service provision should be decided by 'the market,' and that PFI initiatives, which massively enrich private shareholders at the public's expense, are the best use of public money.
